Fertiliser and Lime application
Feeding your grass with fertiliser, particularly where it has been cut for hay or haylage, will replace the phosphate and potash removed with the crop.
Fertiliser and lime applications by GreenPaddocks
- Ensures good, healthy root and shoot structure to survive the winter and grow well in the spring, summer and autumn.
- Helps leafy grass to develop - short stemmy grass holds the sugar reserves that can cause laminitis in horses and ponies
- Helps maintain a healthy, dense, attractive sward which discourages weeds
- Helps prevent overgrazing which allows weeds to flourish
Fertiliser and lime can be applied spring, summer and autumn. Little and often is the best approach.
